This is a web page. It has text, and it is saved as an html (hypertext markup language) document. If you look at the title bar above, you can see that the subtitle is "Basic Dull Page". No doubt you agree.
To the experienced user of word processing, this page looks remarkably like a word-processed document. Open PageMill, FrontPage, or Netscape Composer by clicking on the appropriate icon in your hard drive, on your desktop or within the Start Menu. Explore the tool bars in what we call Edit mode, and you will see that basic web pages need only a few features to make them much more exciting than this.
