Zoom Phone Pilot

Image of Zoom phone displayIn early 2024, IRT will lead pilot testing of the Zoom Phone software tool to evaluate its potential as a replacement for the current Avaya desk and soft phone systems. Pilot testing will occur in two phases and include a diverse group of campus administrative and technical staff, as well as faculty members.

Pilot Testing/Feedback

  • Phase 1: IRT Division Testing (January 9 - February 9, 2024)
  • Phase 2: Testing by select business and faculty partners (February 13 – March 13, 2024)

Through this phased pilot process, IRT will provision groups into Zoom Phone and provide the following how-to videos to help test functionality:

Good to know: Don't be alarmed - once you're provisioned into the Zoom Phone pilot, your Avaya desk phone (if using) will remain on your desk, but be disconnected/not in use during the testing period.
