WSCUC Engagement Opportunities

Campus Community Forums

Institutions of higher learning in the U.S. must go through a review process to ensure they are meeting established standards of academic quality. For Sacramento State, this process—accreditation—is conducted by an external agency, WSCUC (WASC Senior College and University Commission). Our university has maintained institutional accreditation since 1951, and we are now preparing for our 2026-2027 accreditation review. The reaccreditation process will begin with a campus-wide self-study.

To support our self‑study, the Steering Committee will host a series of Campus Community Forums to inform the campus community about the reaccreditation process and timeline. These forums will allow the Committee to gather meaningful feedback from faculty, staff, and managers, while providing participants with an opportunity to learn more about accreditation, share their perspectives, and engage directly with the Steering Committee.

Your perspectives are essential to this work, and we encourage all members of the campus community to participate. Please register for the session that best aligns with your role.
