Timeline Description

May 2025 – Establish Steering Committee

Formed a cross-divisional leadership team responsible to guide Sacramento State through the reaccreditation process, coordinate the institutional self-study efforts, and ensure compliance with 2023 WSCUC standards and requirements.

August 2025 – Assembled Work Groups

Organized a cross-divisional team focused on specific accreditation standards and criteria for review, bringing together faculty, staff, and administrators to collaborate on data collection, analysis, and report writing.

February 2026 – WSCUC Campus Briefing Meetings

Initial campus-wide information sessions to update the campus community on accreditation progress, review expectations, and engage stakeholders in discussion ahead of the institutional report submission.

March 2026 – Campus Feedback

Designated timeframe for collecting responses, suggestions, and contributions from students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the institutional report accurately reflects the campus perspective and addresses key areas.

July 9, 2026 – Institutional Report Submission to WSCUC

Official deadline for submitting the comprehensive self-study report to the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).

September 17, 2026 – WSCUC Off-Site Review Visit

Remote evaluation conducted by the WSCUC Review Team to examine the institutional report, identify areas for deeper inquiry, and prepare questions for the subsequent on-campus visit.

October 2026 – WSCUC Campus Briefing Meetings

Follow-up information sessions to prepare the campus community for the upcoming site visit, provide an overview of what to expect during the visit, and address any questions about the review process.

February 17-19, 2026 – WSCUC On-Campus Site Visit

In-person evaluation visit where the WSCUC Review Team conducts interviews, tours facilities, reviews additional documentation, and validates information presented in the institutional report through direct observation and dialogue.

June 25, 2027 – WSCUC Commission Meeting

Formal session with the university leadership where the full WSCUC Commission reviews the institutional report, site visit findings, and team recommendations to determine the institution's accreditation status and any required follow-up actions.

August 2027 – Receive WSCUC Commission Action Letter

Receiving the official communication from WSCUC detailing the Commission’s accreditation decision, commendations, recommendations, and any requirements or timelines for institutional response or improvement.
