Summer Teaching Institute 2026

Education Reimagined: Innovative Digital Pedagogy in Action

Your faculty colleagues invite you to apply for the 2026 Summer Teaching Institute where we will be:

  • Applying inclusive digital pedagogy strategies to redesign one or more course components.
  • Integrating AI-enhanced teaching and learning tools to improve instructional efficiency, feedback, and student engagement.
  • Embedding digital literacy and data-informed competencies into course learning outcomes, assignments, or activities.
  • Reimagining course structures using flexible, hybrid, and experiential design approaches that expand access and support diverse learners.

What is the teaching Institute?

The Summer Teaching Institute is a four-day online synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning experience to engage faculty in course redesign. This year’s course topic is: Education Reimagined: Innovative Digital Pedagogy in Action.

You can expect flexible hands-on sessions that model and provide tools for student engagement, using AI in the classroom, and strategies for creating a more equitable and inclusive curriculum. Most of all, you will find a group of inspiring colleagues and mentors to work with.

Resources, including a laptop or tablet device, will be provided to support faculty as they redesign their curriculum and instruction.
