Curriculum Deadlines
The 2026-2027 AY Deadline Memo (Deadlines for Curriculum) was sent to Department Chairs, Associate Deans, and Deans on May 4, 2026.
Below are approval deadlines for Course Proposals and Program Proposals for the 2027-2028 University Catalog. Program and course proposals that are not approved by the catalog deadline will be implemented in the following catalog (2028-2029).
Deadlines:
All course and program changes must be approved by all appropriate bodies (Curriculum Subcommittee, Council for the Preparation of School Personnel*, General Education Subcommittee*, Senate Executive Committee*, Faculty Senate*, the President*, and the Chancellor's Office*) no later than February 05, 2027 (November 10, 2026 Curriculum Subcommittee meeting). Proposals that are not approved by all appropriate bodies by the February 05, 2027 deadline will be changed for implementation into the following catalog year.
Note: for proposals to be added to any of the Curriculum Subcommittee agendas, they must be with Academic Services in Curriculum Workflow by the outlined deadlines listed below.

The Curriculum Subcommittee meets from 1:30 PM to 2:50 PM on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month during the AY (typically not in December, January or May). Please email curriculum@csus.edu or catalog@csus.edu for the meeting Zoom link.
