NCFDD - Faculty Development Resources

What is NCFDD?

NCFDD is an independent professional development, training, and mentoring community of faculty, postdocs, & graduate students. It provides a variety of virtual programs and resources, most of which are included with our campus institutional membership.

  • A comprehensive webinar library with new live webinars offered each month. Topics include research, grant funding, book writing, teaching, leadership, and self-care
  • A private faculty development community that allows you to connect with peers at other campuses
  • A weekly Monday Motivator newsletter offering tips to thrive in academe, and Wednesday Wisdom conversation thread that crowd-sources solutions from a community of thousands of academics
  • 14-Day Writing Challenges to experiment with consistent daily writing
  • Short videos focused on various skill development

Below is a curated selection of NCFDD resources to help you get started. Please browse the events calendar, and register for any upcoming webinars that interest you. You can review the webinar library and check out the previous webinar recordings.

Activate Your NCFDD Account

To activate your institutional membership,

  • Go to the NCFDD web page
  • Choose "California State University, Sacramento"
  • Select "Activate My Membership"
  • Complete the registration form by using your Saclink email account
  • Go to your Sacramento State email and click "Activate Account" in the confirmation email

NCFDD Resources & Programming Demo (Recording)

Sacramento State hosted an NCFDD resource and program demonstration on May 20, 2026. In this 45-minute webinar, Frank Sesso (NCFDD Partnership Success Director) introduced the range of virtual programs and resources NCFDD offers and share how to maximize the benefits of your institutional membership.
