Mobile Ticketing

How to purchase tickets to events

  • Online (All orders run through our ticketing company AXS)

Ticket Delivery Methods

  • Digital Delivery (AXS App) - FREE!
  • Will Call - $2 per order
  • Mail - $5 per order (if more than 10 days until event)

AXS Account Setup

If you received an email from AXS Tickets <> with the subject:
Your tickets were delivered to your account!” it means that an order was placed with “AXS Digital Delivery” as the delivery method.

Please complete your Account Setup (only has to be done once!) by following the steps listed below:

  • Download the AXS app (See links in email or search the Apple or Google app stores)
  • Open the AXS app and tap the figure icon in the lower right corner
  • Tap SIGN IN
  • An account was already made for you, but your password must be reset. Tap Forgot Password.
  • Following the guidelines (highlighted below in yellow), enter your new password in both boxes. Tap RESET PASSWORD.
  • You may be asked to VERIFY your account via email. Follow instructions to do so and navigate back to SIGN IN (tap figure>SIGN IN) on the APP.

FREE & Discounted Football/Basketball tickets for Sac State Students

All Sac State student football & basketball tickets now through AXS app

Use your 9 digit Sac State student ID number as the passcode for free admission for you (and discounted admission for your guests to football, basketball guests may purchase a GA ticket).

  • Download the AXS Tickets app
  • Search "Sac State" and select the game you'd like to attend.
  • Select "Student Offer" to claim a free student ticket
  • Enter 9 digit student ID number as passcode (can only be used once per game)
  • Complete transaction

Hot Tips:

  • Select "Student Guest Offer" to purchase up to 4 discounted guest passes per football game ($10 each)
  • If students are entering separately from their guests, tickets may be transferred (see Transfer Tickets section below)

Digital Tickets

  • To locate your digital ticket, please SIGN IN to the AXS Tickets app.
  • Tap the ticket icon on the bottom of the screen to the left of the figure icon to see a list of your purchased tickets
  • Tap any event listed to see your associated digital ticket
  • Present the QR code to be scanned at gate/door for entry

Transfer Tickets

If you need to transfer a ticket to someone else, first access your digital ticket

  • Select the box next to the seat/ticket(s) you wish to send
  • Fill out the contact information for the recipient, adding a message if you wish, and tap CONTINUE
  • Review the transfer information and tap CONFIRM
  • Both the giver and recipient will receive emails with the transfer information from titled "You Successfully Transferred Tickets" and "Tickets Just Got Sent To You," respectively
  • The recipient must create/log in to account with the exact email ticket(s) were forwarded to

What is Mobile ID/Digital Delivery?

Mobile ID is our digital ticketing technology which provides you the flexibility and convenience of safely and securely managing your tickets online or in the AXS Tickets mobile app.

What is Fan Account?

Fan Account is an online portal where you can pay for any reserved tickets on your account as well has transfer tickets to your friends. Click this link to access your account online.

Getting Into the Event

When it’s time for the event, the Mobile ID (QR code) through the AXS App is the recommended form of entry, but if you don't have access to a smartphone, you may use the credit card you used to purchase the tickets.

Here's how it works:

  1. Get the AXS Tickets app if you haven't already
  2. Open the App and sign in to see your tickets
  3. Show the QR code ticket in the App to be scanned at the entrance for entry. Have fun!

Bought tickets for a group with Mobile ID/Digital Delivery?

Make sure everyone enters together OR transfer tickets to friends before the event (see instructions above) and each party can scan their phones at the entrance.

With Mobile ID/Digital Delivery, how will the usher know where to seat me?

Your tickets and seat locations can be viewed in the AXS Tickets App, which you can show to the usher.

I selected Digital Delivery, but forgot my phone. What do I do?

If you have the credit card you purchased with, it can be swiped on the scanners at the door for entry. If the card used is unavailable, please go to the box office for help. You’ll need to provide some form of ID and verification info previously entered in your AXS account.

Transferring Tickets

What is transfer? A ticket transfer allows you to digitally send each guest in your party their own Digital Ticket and use the AXS Tickets app for entry. With seat transfers, you no longer have to worry about delivering the paper tickets to them in advance or meeting guests before the event to walk in together. (Note that some areas within some venues may be non-transferable. Refer to your order to review whether your tickets are transferable.)

Here's how it works:

  1. Tap the Transfer button next to the event in your AXS account.
  2. Select the tickets to transfer and enter the recipient's information.
  3. On the review page, click the Transfer button to send the tickets.
  4. The recipient will get an email about the transfer, and they’ll need to create an AXS account (if they don’t have one yet) to complete the transfer. After that, the tickets will be theirs to use with the AXS App.

Is there a fee for transferring seats?

No, there is no fee for transferring seats.

How will I know if my transfer was successful?

Review your transfer history within the AXS app by clicking on MY EVENTS and selecting TRANSFERRED. You may also review your transfers and purchase history at and will receive an email when you transfer a ticket.

How do I accept Transferred Tickets?

If you already have an AXS account, the tickets will be transferred to your account automatically. Otherwise, you’ll get an email letting you know you need to create an AXS account to claim the tickets. Just follow the simple steps to make the tickets officially yours.

Once I have downloaded the AXS App and created my AXS account, do I have to accept the transfer every time?

Nope. Once you have an account, seats transferred to you will be accepted by your account automatically (no need to accept them manually).

Can seats be transferred to someone who doesn’t have an AXS account?

Yep! They’ll just have to create an AXS account with the exact email address they were sent to and download the app to claim their tickets. When it’s time for the event, they can open the app to show their tickets on their phone.

Can I cancel a transfer?

It depends. If your friend already has an AXS account, the tickets will be transferred instantaneously, but they can be transferred back from their account. Otherwise you have until your friend creates an account to cancel the transfer.

Buying Tickets

Tickets for all venues can be purchased through links found on the Hornet Tickets page, or the AXS app. Simply search for an event and click on GET TICKETS to begin your purchase. Not all events appear on

Non-Transferable Tickets

If your tickets are not qualified for transfer, you (the original purchaser) MUST arrive at the entrance with your entire party and present your digital tickets using their AXS Tickets App.
