Automatic Admission Yolo County Schools – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
About the Automatic Admission Program
The Automatic Admission Program is a partnership between Sacramento State and select school districts to provide eligible students with a clear and supported path to college admission. Students who meet established academic requirements are guaranteed conditional admission to Sacramento State.
Students attending one of our partner high schools who are on track to complete the A–G requirements and have at least a 2.5 GPA in their 10th and 11th grade A–G coursework are eligible for conditional admission.
Application Process
All students—whether eligible for automatic admission or not—must complete the Cal State Apply application.
Notifications will be sent to eligible students beginning November 1.
- Students who have already applied will receive a confirmation that Sacramento State has received their application.
- Eligible students who have not yet applied will receive an email from their school district letting them know they qualify for conditional admission and encouraging them to submit their application.
There is no blanket fee waiver for automatic admission students. However, students who meet income-based criteria will automatically receive a fee waiver through Cal State Apply.
Sacramento State Counselor Tommy Ngo serves Yolo County and is available to work directly with students to help them through the admission process. Tommy can be reached at by e-mail at h.ngo@csus.edu.
