Financial Aid Updates

Due to required system updates related to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), Financial Aid offices are currently experiencing delays in processing some financial aid awards. Our Financial Aid & Scholarships Office is actively working to complete these updates and process student awards as quickly as possible before the start of the Fall 26 semester.

If your financial aid has not yet been finalized or disbursed, no action is required unless you have been contacted by our office requesting additional information or documentation.

We understand that financial aid is an important part of preparing for the academic year and appreciate your patience as we complete these required system updates. Our team is committed to minimizing delays and processing awards as quickly and accurately as possible.

While we complete these updates, we encourage students to:

• Check their My Sac State Student Center and Sac State email regularly for updates or requests for additional information.
• Allow additional processing time while system updates are being implemented.
• Contact the Student Service Center if they have urgent questions or concerns about their financial aid status.
