Be part of the O-Team! New Student Orientation has multiple in-person summer positions. You can join us as an Orientation Leader, Reservations Specialist, or Reservation Coordinator. Check out the details below and look for updates during September.

Orientation Leader

Orientation Leaders assist in the transition of new students and supporters to Sac State through presentations, academic advising, and creating a welcoming environment. We are not taking applications for the Orientation Leader position at this time.

Orientation Leader Application - Not available at the moment

Qualifications

  • Be a current Sac State student- must be enrolled during the spring semester
  • Have a minimum 2.7 GPA
  • Be in good academic and disciplinary standing
  • Have a positive attitude

Returning Orientation Leader Application

Returning Orientation Leaders are knowledgeable representatives of Sac State. They help introduce new students and supporters to the university while also aid in mentoring first-time Orientation Leaders. The Returning Orientation Leader application will be available on Handshake mid-September.

Reservation Coordinator Application

The Reservation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing student and parent reservations, coordinates student/leader groups and room assignments, troubleshoots problems during check-in, and answers phone calls and emails. We are not accepting applications for the Reservation Coordinator at this time.

Reservation Specialist Application

The Reservation Specialist position is an opportunity to work in the New Student Orientation Office, preparing orientation materials, answering the phone, emails and assisting students with their reservations. This position is part-time March thru May and increases to full-time after finals week. The Reservation Specialist application is available on Handshake now until February 24, 2023.
