Qualifications for All Applications

  • Be a current Sac State student
  • Have a  2.7 GPA or more
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have a positive attitude

New Orientation Leader Application

  • September 30th: Orientation Leader application (submit to Lassen Hall 1010 and sign-up for a group interview)
  • October 25th: Application deadline. Submit to Lassen Hall 1010 by 5:00pm.

Interview Timeline

  • October 25th - November 8th: Group interviews take place
  • November 8th - December 6th: Individual interviews for qualified applicants
  • Week of December 9th: Applicants will be selected for the position 
If selected for the position, students will be required to attend 3-unit training class on Wednesday nights (5:00-8:20pm) during the Spring 2020 semester.

 

Returning Leader Application

  • September 13th: Returning Orientation Leader application (submit to Lassen Hall 1010 and sign-up for an individual interview)
  • September 27th: Application deadline. Submit to Lassen Hall 1010 by 5:00 pm.

Interview Timeline

  • October 1st - 22nd: Individual Interviews take place
  • Week of October 28th: Applicants will be selected for the position

 

Reservation Coordinator Application

Timeline

Applications will be available in February.

Description

The Reservation Coordinator position is an opportunity to work in the New Student Orientation office, preparing orientation materials, assigns students to orientation leader groups, coordinates rooms and computer labs, troubleshoots problems during check-in, answering phone calls and assisting students with their reservation. This position is part-time during the month of November thru May, 40 hours the week of winter orientation in January and increases to full-time during the summer.

 

Reservation Specialist Application

Applications will be available in February.

Description

The Reservation Specialist position is an opportunity to work in the New Student Orientation Office, preparing orientation materials, answering phone, emails and assisting students with their reservation. This position is part-time during the month of April and May and increases to full-time after finals week.
