About Transfer Student Orientation
Welcome New Hornet!
Congratulations on being admitted to Sac State!
As a new transfer student, you have the opportunity to continue your education in an environment rich with opportunity. Since every university/college is different, your first step is to attend Transfer Orientation. Orientation is required for all new students. Students cannot register for classes until they attend Orientation.
During Transfer Orientation, you'll learn how your transfer credit applies towards your major and General Education. In addition, you’ll attend academic advising sessions, learn about programs and services and you will register for classes. Attending Orientation will help you get on the fast track to completing your degree.
Transfer Orientation for Spring 2024 students will take place in Winter 2024. Check back in October for more details.

Child Care
Students who need childcare (ages 6 months - kindergarten) during Orientation may arrange for free child care from the ASI Children's Center. This is based on space availability. More details to come in October 2023.
Services to Students With Disabilities
We strongly recommend for best-ensured service, that requests for sign language interpreters, real-time captioners, printed or audio materials in alternative formats, or other ADA accommodations are made at least 10 working days in advance of your Orientation by contacting the Services to Students with Disabilities office at sswd@csus.edu or (916) 278-6955 voice. For more information on Services to Students with Disabilities, see their website for their application process and services.
