About Transfer Student Orientation
Welcome New Hornet!
Congratulations on being admitted to Sac State!
As a new transfer student, you have the opportunity to continue your education in an environment rich with opportunity. Since every university/college is different, your first step is to attend Transfer Orientation. Orientation is required for all new students. Students cannot register for classes until they attend Orientation.
During Transfer Orientation, you'll learn how your transfer credit applies towards your major and General Education. In addition, you’ll attend academic advising sessions and register for classes. You will also learn about Sac State programs and services that will support you. Attending Orientation will help you get on the fast track to completing your degree. Your parents/supporters are also welcome to attend with you.
Transfer Orientation will take place in-person on the Sac State campus beginning June 13-29. Use the Dates tab for specific major dates.

Services to Students With Disabilities

For more information on Services to Students with Disabilities, see their website for their application process and services
Students who are in need of childcare (ages 6 mos.-kindergarten) during Orientation may arrange for free child care from the ASI Children's Center. This is based on space availability and requests for care should be made at least seven working days in advance. For arrangements call the ASI Children's Center at (916) 278-6216.
