Opportunities for Students
PRC has internship and employment opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students. Students work in tandem with staff to gain experience working in a professional research setting. We take great pride in the accomplishments of our student interns and employees. Many of our past students are employed in research or public services positions they were eligible for due to their experience at PRC.
If you are interested in an internship with PRC, please contact Jessica Gollaher.
PRC lists open positions a on the Sacramento State Handshake page. English/Spanish bilingual students highly encouraged to apply! If there are no PRC positions posted, you can reach out to Noelia Villalobos to see if any opportunities are available.
We most frequently hire for two positions:

Interviewers use computer software to guide them through surveys, enter survey responses, and assign outcome codes to each telephone call in accordance with training.
- Student Interviewer II (Graduate Students) – The purpose of this position is to monitor the conduct of health related phone surveys (conducted in English or Spanish) to ensure data quality and integrity. Before monitoring, the Student Interviewer II are trained and will work as a Student Interviewer I initially to ensure comprehensive understanding of data collection procedures.
