“Welcome to the CommConnect newsletter, a news source for the Department of Communication Studies at California State University, Sacramento.

“With this newsletter we hope to provide important news and information about the Communication Studies program that you may have missed elsewhere.

“Most of all, we want to highlight and celebrate the achievements of the more than 1,400 undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, and more than 70 full– and part-time faculty members.

“As a new publication and information source, we are of course open to all ideas you may have for interesting features, news or other information that you would like to see. As we get started, please route your story ideas to me or Professor Shawna Malvini Redden.

“We all share an interest in communication and how it can improve and impact the world around us. At the same time, we often find ourselves busy with the day-to-day demands of life and leave behind important information we can benefit from sharing.
