About World Language Day

What is World Languages Day?

World Languages Day is a day to celebrate and showcase the diverse languages and cultures of the students & faculty that make up an important part of the Sac State Community. Admission is always free and participation is greatly encouraged!

Why World Languages Day?

Become a Language Host and Volunteer

Your task is to teach a couple of phrases/sentences that visitors would want to know. You can teach greetings, numbers, days of week, annual events and festivals, key phrases, etc. You have the opportunity to share your culture, bring cultural games, and provide any relevant information. The event staff will provide you with a white board, pen, and paper.

Please contact Dr. Kazue Masuyama (masuyama@csus.edu) or Dr. Viola Ardeni (viola.ardeni@csus.edu) if you are interested in volunteering or have any question. Also, visit the World Language Day website for more details!
