About Real Estate & Land Use Institute (RELUI)
Founded in 1974, the Real Estate and Land Use Institute (RELUI) is a partnership between California State University and the California Department of Real Estate. It brings together industry leaders, regulators, and faculty to promote education and professionalism and support students pursuing real estate careers. RELUI administers California’s Real Estate Education Endowment, distributing $50,000 to $65,000 annually in scholarships to disadvantaged students enrolled in real estate programs within the CSU system.
The institute recently provided campus improvement grants for student competitions, software training, market forecasts, networking forums, and other activities. RELUI has supported dozens of academic research papers that advance knowledge in the field. Its advisory committee includes industry leaders appointed by the California Real Estate Commissioner, Department of Real Estate staff, CSU faculty, and the executive director.
