UC Davis Financial Times Biz Quiz 2024

The incredible three-student team—Rafael (MSF), Ale (MSBA), and Steven (MBA)—worked closely with Finance, Insurance & Real Estate professor, Dr. Chang Liu as well as Dr. Lan Liu, who coached and guided them in preparation for the competition.

They secured 3rd place overall in the prestigious FT competition after advancing to the live-streamed final round.

A special shoutout to Rafael for earning 1st place individually in the competition!

Student Testimonials

MBA Student GarySac State is wonderful. The faculty are highly experienced and genuinely want to help students pursue their goals and succeed.

Brittney MBA StudentStarting the MBA program at Sacramento State was a pivotal decision in my career journey. I joined to grow professionally and take advantage of the staff fee waiver—and it paid off. The program helped me move across roles on campus, from events to budget analysis to HR, while sharpening my ability to connect the dots across departments. Courses like negotiations, managerial accounting, and the culminating business plan project pushed me out of my comfort zone and deepened my understanding of real-world business strategy. The faculty genuinely care about student success, and their support, along with my incredible peers, made all the difference. My advice: put in the effort, stay curious, and make the program your own.
