  • Ed.D. Graduation Year: 2019
  • Position when you first started the Ed.D. program: Art Teacher, 504 program Coordinator
  • Position that you currently hold: As soon as I graduated, I was hired as an Assistant Principal. It was an interim position (covering for an extended leave), so I'm currently looking for an administration position. I'm also interested in working with pre-service teacher credential students.

How did your doctorate prepare you for this particular career trajectory?

My doctorate degree gave me a stronger understanding of research, what it means to really analyze data, and how theory connects to practice.

Transformative Leadership means …

Opening doors of possibility, bringing people together for the common good, embracing diversity, thinking creatively, and putting it all together to make necessary changes.
