Interview

How did your doctorate prepare you for this particular career trajectory?

I knew I wanted to continue my career in higher education. The doctorate program prepared me to be at the table where discussions about policy, equity and resources take place. The program faculty and curriculum prepared me to be a critical, consciousness and equity-minded educator. The program prepares you to take theory and put it in practice.

Transformative Leadership means …

Leading by example and being open-minded, brave, empathetic and committed to equity.
