ECS Student MAD Lab

Available to all Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) students at Sacramento State, the Manufacturing And Design (MAD) Lab will help with the manufacturing or building of class or student organization projects located in TEB 1251. After completing mandatory safety training, the MAD Lab will provide technical support, access to equipment and tools, and a temporary workspace, as needed.

Available Student Services

If you are an ECS Student, you can get help building any project for a class or a student organization in the new ECS Student MAD Lab. ECS Students will have access to the following resources:

  • Paint Booth
  • Machine Shop Equipment
  • Wood Shop Equipment
  • Sheet Metal Equipment
  • Fasteners

Workshop Training Sessions

The ECS MAD Lab will schedule workshop training sessions open to all ECS students, faculty, and staff. Training sessions are limited to 10 participants and must have at least four participants to avoid being canceled or rescheduled.

All training workshops will be approximately one hour in length and will be held in the ECS MAD Lab located in 1245/1251 Tschannen Engineering Building. Contact Mike Newton to learn more.
