Become a Facilitator

ECS PAL Facilitators are student leaders of our ECS PAL courses. ECS PAL Facilitators are paid for 8 hrs/week at $17.01/hr. These hours include facilitating their PAL sessions, attending lectures of the main course, and holding office hours.

ECS PAL Facilitators participate in ENGR 197, a 2-unit, graded course (2 hrs/week) that provides training in engineering and computer science pedagogy, group learning theory and strategies, group facilitation, and content scaffolding, as well as opportunities to run through the problem sets prior to their actual PAL session to practice scaffolding. ENGR 197 is usually held Monday & Wednesday from 3-3:50 PM.

Complete the facilitator application and attach it to your online application. Note: If the link below is not working, go to csus.joinhandshake.com/login and search for ECS Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) Facilitator.
