About NSM Advising Center

The NSM Advising Center provides holistic major and general education advising to first year, second year, and new transfer students in the College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics.

Spring 2021 Advising

Mandatory advising for first year, second year, and new transfer students in the College of NSM has transitioned to a virtual format, and is now being offered via Zoom.

Students will be contacted on a rolling basis throughout the semester with information on when and how to schedule their mandatory advising sessions. These messages will be sent to University-issued email addresses only.

Biological Sciences pre-majors in their third year and above or second semester after transferring should contact their major department directly for advising.

Anticipated Office Closures

In light of the concerns surrounding COVID-19 and upon recommendation of the University President, the NSM Advising Center will be closed to in-person visits for the Spring 2021 semester. Advising Center staff will otherwise be available via email or Zoom during regular business hours.

We will close to observe the following holidays:

  • January 18th - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • March 31st - Cesar Chavez's Birthday
  • May 31st - Memorial Day
