What do you like to do for fun or in your spare time? For fun, I love going to the gym. I have been a big gym rat since high school and love pushing myself to the limits. I also love going shopping and hanging out with friends.

Why are you excited to work as a PAL Facilitator? I am most excited to be a PAL Facilitator because, as a kid from a first-generation background, I know how important it is to have support from someone who understands. As a first-generation student, I was only able to rely on myself. However, as a former PAL student, I know how beneficial having a community behind you can be, and I want others like me to be able to take advantage of what Sac State offers and know that they aren’t alone. College is hard, but we don’t have to go through it by ourselves; we are here for a reason, and we deserve to be in this space. We have to support our own!

What do you like to do for fun or in your spare time? In my free time, I like to do a little bit of everything, but as of late, I like staying in, reading a good romance book with a cup of coffee (currently obsessed with one of Lyla Sage’s series!!). If I’m not reading, I also like chilling in my room and listening to my Bay Area rap music like Mike Sherm, Shoreline, etc. #yayarea

Being able to watch my students succeed and start understanding the material is my goal!
