Anthropology Museum
The Anthropology Museum offers students practical research experience and engages the diverse communities of the greater Sacramento region. Our facilities include a small exhibition gallery, ethnographic research and teaching collections, a climate-controlled repositiory, and a lab for curatorial and exhibit-design work.

The Sankofa Exhibit ~ Embrace the Past - Forge the Future
The student-led Sankofa Research Team, in partnership with the Ethnic Studies Department and Anthropology Museum, is proud to present a newly acquired collection from Zimbabwe. The exhibit introduces the principle of Sankofa to the audience by connecting African cultural pieces from he past to the present. We hope to see you there!
Location: Anthropology Museum - Mendocino Hall 1000 (1st Floor, outside sliding doors)
Dates: October 15 - December 5, 2025
Time: Monday - Friday, 10 am - 3 pm
*NOTE: The Exhibit will be CLOSED on the following dates: Nov. 11th, 27th, & 28th.

After you complete the permit checkout process, you will be emailed a receipt confirming the details of your virtual parking permit. You don't need to display a permit on your vehicle; your license plate is your parking permit. If you need assistance, email parking@csus.edu.

Focus on Abortion: Americans Share Their Stories
Exhibit Description: Focus on Abortion: Americans Share Their Stories is a published book and a traveling exhibit by photographer and author Roslyn Banish. This work introduces the often-missing and most important voices in the abortion conversation: the voices of those who have experienced abortion.
The storytellers come from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and generations. They live in urban, suburban and rural areas throughout America. Together they provide a broad, complex and poignant picture of abortion in our country.
