Native American Studies/Ethnic Studies tenure-track Asst. Prof. Position

The Department of Ethnic Studies invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning fall 2022.

  • The Department seeks candidates who demonstrate ability to teach lower-division and upper-division undergraduate courses in Native American Studies and Ethnic Studies and with knowledge and expertise in California Native people, communities, and Nations.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and/or research interests in two more of the following areas: sovereignty, tribal leadership, settler colonialism, health/social welfare, activism, education, cultural revitalization, art, criminalization, genocide, environment, economic development, gender and sexuality, family studies, decolonization, and/or Native epistemologies.

Chicanx/Latinx Studies/Ethnic Studies tenure-track Asst. Prof. Position

The Department of Ethnic Studies invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning fall 2022.

  • The Department seeks candidates who demonstrate ability to teach lower-division and upper-division undergraduate and graduate courses in Chicanx/Latinx Studies and Ethnic Studies, and whose teaching and scholarship reflect critical, intersectional, and/or interdisciplinary approaches to the study of Chicanx/Latinx populations.
  • Candidates should demonstrate: an active research agenda in Chicanx/Latinx and Ethnic Studies; the potential to build collaborative partnerships in the region with Chicanx/Latinx communities; and experience communicating and working with a diverse student population.
