NUFD OPEN KITCHEN

Need a space for your next potluck, department gathering, retirement celebration, or casual get-together? The Nutrition, Food & Dietetics (NUFD) Department is excited to open the Mariposa Hall Room 3007 Kitchen to the campus community! This cozy, well-equipped space is available for rent and is ideal for light food preparation and serving. Whether you're warming up dishes, assembling snacks, or hosting a small gathering, the Mariposa Open Kitchen provides a convenient and welcoming environment.

This space is equipped with two built-in ovens, microwaves, and a refrigerator, providing the convenience of preparing, heating, and safely storing food during your event. Serving utensils and kitchen equipment are available for use to ensure that your gathering will run smoothly.

Whether you are planning a professional milestone celebration or a community-building event, the NUFD Open Kitchen offers a welcoming environment to support your needs.

Kitchen Features

Our designated kitchen unit is ADA compliant and equipped with:

  • 2 microwaves
  • 2 ovens
  • 2 stove top
  • 1 hand washing sink
  • 2 two sink compartments
  • large countertop for prepping & serving food
  • 1 freezer and refrigerator

How to Reserve

Our NUFD OPEN KITCHEN, located in Mariposa 3007 is available for use to our campus community with a flat fee of $250.

Cost

1. Contact Nutrition Office via email with the following details:

  • Date of the event
    • Must be a Friday
    • Summer- check with NUFD Dept. for availability
  • Hours of the event (3 hours between 9am - 3pm)
  • What is this event for & number of attendees
  • Include any other information you would like us to know

Please book your event 2 weeks in advance.

Important Reminders

  • Clean all spills and return equipment in original condition
  • Report any damage to the NUFD Office (Mariposa 3022)
  • Damaged or broken items may incur additional charges
  • If your event requires more space or multiple kitchen units, additional kitchens may be available for rent at an extra fee. Please include this request in your initial inquiry to the to NUFD Department
