New to Sac State or to Sociology?
- Begin building social connections
- Attend campus events
- Mentors will guide you and introduce you to the campus community
- Assistance in developing professional and academic skills
- Participate in events, organizations, and conferences sponsored by the Sociology Department

- To participate, register for SOC 193A through your Student Center in MySacState.

SOC 193B: SOC Circle Peer Mentor
Become a Peer Mentor in Sociology to build Academic and Professional Success
- Prepares mentees to stay on track for graduation
- Mentors are expected to provide mentees with support and guidance in their academic success
- Connect mentees to the appropriate campus resources
- Gain expereince in leadership, interpersonal communication skills, and helping others reach their academic goals
Requirements
- Junior or Senior in Sociology major
- Application/ Informal Interview
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
- Letter of Reference from an instructor at Sac State
