The CEC has partnered with 916 Ink to bring this wonderful opportunity for Sac State students to volunteer as tutors 1-on-1 with elementary school children in the community, teaching phonics and reading comprehension with a proven curriculum and practice lessons.

This opportunity is a 10 week volunteer season.

River City Food Bank

The CEC has partnered with River City Food Bank to bring this incredible opportunity for Sac State students to volunteer to prepare and give food to unhoused, low-income and displaced families in our communities this year! Watch this orientation video before applying.

Girls on the Run of Greater Sacramento

The CEC has partnered with Girls on the Run of Greater Sacramento to bring this amazing opportunity for Sac State students to become volunteer life coaches, & mentors to empower girls at local schools with social-emotional lessons! This opportunity is a 10 week volunteer season.

Food For Thought Mentoring

The CEC has partnered with Roberts Family Development Center (RFDC) to bring this exciting opportunity for Sac State students to be role models and mentors to elementary, middle, or high school youth through lunch or after school visits each week.

This opportunity is a 10-12 week volunteer season.

Food Literacy Center

The CEC has partnered with Food Literacy Center to bring this enriching opportunity for Sac State students to teach kids about food through cooking and gardening classes!

This opportunity is an 8-10 week volunteer season.

Sac State Sustainability Garden

The CEC has partnered with Sac State Sustainability to bring this wonderful opportunity for Sac State students to volunteer as gardeners on campus. The food harvested will be given to the Sac State Food Pantry.
