Student Involvement

Internship

Each Semester the Office of Sustainability hosts 2-10 interns from a variety of disciplines. Interns work on a specific project that aligns with their interests and major. Internship projects range from hands-on work at the garden or BAC Yard to data or computer-based projects in the office. If you are interested in pursuing an Office of Sustainability internship for academic credit, most campus majors offer a 195 Internship course which may be enrolled in concurrently, pending department approval.

Volunteering

The Office of Sustainability regularly offers volunteer opportunities. These opportunities typically focus on assisting with garden tasks or composting at the BAC Yard, however if you would like to volunteer with us in a different area, we are always flexible. Volunteer work can be done during the semester or during summer, spring, and winter break. We welcome anyone who is interested in volunteering with us, you do not have to be affiliated with Sacramento State. However, all volunteer work must be done M-F, 8AM-5PM.
