Depress the ALT key and hold it down while typing in the three-digit number. To type the numbers, use the numeric keypad, not the number keys on the top row.

Option-e + vowel = á, é, í, ó, ú
Option-i + vowel = â, ê, î, ô, û
Option-u + vowel = ä, ë, ï, ö, ü
Option-` + vowel= à, è, ì, ò, ù
Option-shift-' = Æ
Option-q = œ
Option-shift-q = Œ
Option-o = ø
Option-a = å
Option-c = ç
Option-s = ß
Option-shift-c = Ç
Option-n + n = ñ
Option-n + N = Ñ
Option-shift-? = ¿
Option-! = ¡

Note: The following key sequences are combinations of the OPTION key plus another letter. Keep the option key held down when you type the letter after the - (i.e. option-e) and then let the option key up and type the letter that needs the accent mark. (In other words, keep the option key held down until you get to the + in the sequences below.)
