Courses That I Teach

As a professor at California State University, Sacramento (Sacramento State), I am committed to creating a student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking, practical application, and inclusive dialogue. Whether in the classroom or online, my teaching style emphasizes active participation, real-world relevance, and respectful collaboration. I expect students to come prepared, engage thoughtfully with course material, and contribute meaningfully to class discussions and group activities.

Research Interests

Students working on a project. My research bridges communication studies and business administration, with a focus on organizational communication, leadership, and strategic management. I study how communication practices shape collaboration, decision-making, and organizational culture. Recently, I have been particularly interested in the applied impact of emerging technologies—especially artificial intelligence—on workplace communication and management practices. This includes examining how AI-driven tools influence team collaboration, information flow, employee engagement, and ethical decision-making. Through this work, I aim to provide practical insights into how organizations can use technology to strengthen communication, foster innovation, and support sustainable business practices.
