Business

Sacramento State educates the next generation of dynamic, inclusive, and quality leaders who will positively influence decision making, public policy, economic prosperity, and the entrepreneurial spirit of our region.

Sacramento State's College of Business develops engaged, responsible leaders working hard to enrich their communities, both locally and globally, through 21st century skills. The college drives partnerships in workforce development, new business and social innovation — the educational backbone of the region’s business community and a launchpad for careers in a global, modern workforce.

We invite you to partner with COB as we work to be the leading workforce development institution in one of the most economically important regions in the world. Contact Tim Richter, Director of Development, at (916) 278-6989 if you have questions or would like to discover additional ways to get involved.

Student Success through Scholarships

  • Double the number of scholarships which would provide tuition assistance to a greater number of COB students.
  • Increase scholarship funding by raising $6 million, thereby giving a transformative business education to more students, especially those from underserved communities.

Teaching and Technology

  • Secure the first endowed professorship in the COB to enhance the recruitment and retention of the highest-quality educators in the nation and world.
  • Update COB technology to provide our students with extensive experience as well as a keen focus on mastering business analytics and data visualization.

Center for Small Business (CSB)

  • Expand classroom-community partnerships that connect student teams with small businesses and entrepreneurs. The students provide the businesses with critical analysis and technical management assistance needed to start, stabilize, and grow their companies. At the same time, Sacramento State students gain valuable hands-on learning experiences that can advance their careers quickly after graduation.
  • Seek programmatic endowments to open up more opportunities for partnerships with local businesses, provide more practical experiences for COB students, and bring new workshops on campus hosted by CSB—one of the oldest and largest centers of its kind in the United States.

Invest in the Future

Scholarships are among the most rewarding ways to give to Sacramento State because they directly impact students’ lives. They also help celebrate and motivate our best and brightest students.
