Sacramento State Placer Center

The Sacramento State Placer Center is the future site of a 300-acre academic center located in western Placer County approximately thirty miles northeast of Sacramento State.

The Placer Center will expand access to a four-year degree and deliver a new model in higher education through a collaboration with Sierra College, which plans to build a transfer center on the Placer Center. With goals for dual-enrollment and a system of seamless support, students will complete their community college studies and transfer to Sacramento State without having to change campuses.

Initial conversations with Sierra College and industry in the Placer region have resulted in a focus on academic areas to meet the needs of high-demand professions.
