Potential Short Answer Questions

  1. Effective time management requires 3 tools. What are they, and what information should you put in each tool?
  2. Describe 3 useful pieces of information you can find on the Sac State Library Web page.
  3. What service is provided through Interlibrary Loan? When would you use those services?
  4. When you have an assignment that requires research, why is it a bad idea to rely on the Internet? Give at least four specific reasons with examples.
  5. Explain five strategies for time management that will help you keep current in your classes.
  6. Describe five strategies for a successful presentation, including at least one on organization, one on using your voice, and one on using your body effectively.
  7. Describe the differences between these levels of learning: knowledge, comprehension, applicaiton, analysis, synthesis and evaluation. Be sure to define each level in your answer.
  8. 1.Your friend is in your 9 am class, but she never gets up in time to go to class, and asks you to take notes for her. You are going to stage an intervention to try to get her to go to class and stop depending on you. You want to be really ready for all her ptential arguments, and you want to have some good arguments of your own so she will agree to start going to class.

2.Your friend is very worried about the upcoming exam in his Biology class. He has decided to lock himself in his room and read his notes over for the whole night before the test. You talk him into tryng a learning styles assessment, and he rates himself as an Auditory/Kinesthetic learner. What strategies should he use to prepare for the test?
