Mature Digital Transformation Strategies to Improve Student Success/Experience

Digital transformation is more than merely digitizing what once was paper, but truly transforming processes with system data integrations, forms, automated workflows, and enhancements. Partnering with campus divisions, we are committed to helping Sacramento State innovate infrustructure, improve processes, and ensure seamless and equitable access to critical information and services for every Hornet. ​

2.1

Strategies: Improve the student experience and reduce administrative barriers through standardized workflows, improved digital forms, and eliminating redundant applications.​

Indicators of Achievement: Increase integration and use of standard workflows to remove administrative barriers.

Process Improvements

  1. To come up with an approach for Records Management and Retention solution within the fiscal year of 2023-24 that could be implemented on an incremental basis in collaboration with IRT Managers and campus unit stakeholders such as: 1. Applying retention policies to low-hanging items such as Document Type in OnBase and implementing retention policy rules; 2. Working with Student Affairs to see what criteria could be applied for deleting unwanted student records and completing the cleanup process.
  2. Update ICT & Project to implement retention.

Strategies: Partner with campus divisions to define and implement personalized digital communication channels to facilitate seamless and equitable access to critical information and services.​

Indicators of Achievement: Develop a portal and communication roadmap which includes CRM-based communication channels in a unified platform, including mobile and Chatbot.​

Strategies: Improve student success outcomes by championing and socializing eLearning technologies, instructional design practices, and providing digital technology support.

Indicators of Achievement: Explore digital literacy training and optimized online educational resources, digital media, and instructional technology resources. Develop a strategy and roadmap based on capacity and infrastructure.​​
