Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement Archive

BCSSE is administered to first-year, transfer, and older students prior to the start of fall classes. BCSSE collects data about entering students' prior academic and co-curricular experiences, as well as their expectations for participating in educationally purposeful activities during the coming college year. This archive provides access to reports and supporting materials from previous BCSSE administrations at Sacramento State. Historical results can be used to examine changes in the backgrounds, experiences, and expectations of entering students over time, supporting assessment, planning, and student success initiatives.
