Estamos conscientes que para muchos de los estudiantes está será la primera vez que estén fuera de casa, por lo tanto deben tener muchas preguntas y dudas. A continuación alguna de las más frecuentes.

Los hombres y las mujeres pasan la noche en dormitorios separados, cada estudiante tiene su propio dormitorio y comparten un área común, incluyendo el baño, con cuatro estudiantes de su mismo sexo.

El Instituto tiene una agenda completa llena de actividades y los estudiantes estarán muy ocupados, por lo que desafortunadamente, no tendrá tiempo para visitas familiares. Sin embargo, tendrán tiempo personal después de las 9pm, que podrán utilizar para llamar a sus familias.

En caso de una emergencia, el supervisor en sitio contactará a los padres del estudiante para llegar a un acuerdo, dependiendo de la gravedad de la emergencia.

Todos los estudiantes que terminen las dos semanas del Instituto y obtengan una calificación satisfactoria, recibirán tres unidades de crédito universitario. Estas unidades no podrán ser utilizadas como crédito para la preparatoria, sólo para la universidad.

Las clases que ofrece el Instituto ayudarán a su hijo a mejorar sus habilidades en inglés, matemáticas e ingeniería/tecnología. Tomar estos cursos ayudara a su hijo para prepararse mejor para lo que le espera a nivel universitario.

Habrá una variedad de comida para que los estudiantes puedan escoger, incluyendo opciones vegetarianas. Nosotros ofreceremos desayuno, almuerzo y cena.

It is our understanding that for many of your students, this would be their first time away from home. Consequently, you may have a lot of questions and concerns. Here are some of our frequently asked questions.

All boys and girls will be sleeping in separate dormitories. Each student will have his/her own bedroom and will be sharing a common area, including restroom, with four other students of the same sex.

The institute has a full schedule filled with various activities and the students will be highly occupied, unfortunately, this would not allow them to have time for family visitation. The students will have time after 9 pm during “personal time” to make phone calls to their families.

In case of emergency, the On-Site Supervisor will contact the student’s parents/guardians and come to an agreement depending on the severity of the emergency.

All students that complete the two-week institute and pass with satisfactory scores will receive 3 college credits. These units will not be applied to high school credits, only for college.

The classes offered through the institute would help improve our child’s English, mathematics, and Engineering/Technology abilities. By taking these courses, your child will be better prepared for what is to come at the college level.

There will be a variety of food for students to choose from, including vegetarian meals. We will be providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including snacks between meals in case the students get hungry throughout their busy days.
