The primary goal of the Undeclared/EI Advising Program is to assist 2nd Year/Sophomore students with major and career exploration to ensure a timely declaration of major. We strive to help inform you on program requirements and strategies on how to successfully get into your program of interest or formulate a back-up plan, if necessary. We can also help to connect you to major exploration resources such as those offered by our Career Counselors or to help navigate the process of major declaration once decided.

Option 1: Advising Appointments

September 1 – December 8

Check your Sac State email for the link to schedule an appointment.

Option 2: Declare a Non-Impacted Major

Contact the department of the major you wish to declare for advising and appropriate signatures

Option 3: Apply to and Be Accepted to an Impacted Program

If you have completed the impacted major’s prerequisite requirements, submit a supplemental application ASAP. Please visit the department’s website to learn more about their supplemental application period.
