Prospective Fellows
Who Can Join?
The Fellow Application Cycle for the 2026-27 academic year will be from Monday, December 1, 2025 to Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
Students selected to join the program must meet all the following criteria:
- Students who are in need of financial assistance for college. This can be best exhibited if you are a Pell Grant/Middle Class Scholarship/Cal Grant B eligible. If selected for the program, we will connect with the Financial Aid and Scholarship department to confirm eligbility.
- Undergraduate students who are full-time (12 or more units), within good academic standing at Sacramento State (not under academic review or probation), and have not graduated from a bachelor's degree program in the past.
- Students committed to finishing all 450 hours during the 10-month academic year, from Aug 2026 through May 2027.
- Is NOT currently enrolled or planning to enroll into another AmeriCorps sponsored program during the term of service.
Financial Benefits? Earn up to $10,000!
Fellows will receive a monthly living allowance upon completion of program requirements (i.e. approved hours, data log submissions, monthly Advisor meeting, and attending mandatory events), and become eligible to receive the education award after completing 450 hours of approved service.

The application period for 2026-27 program year is now open! The program will be accepting applications from Monday, December 1, 2025 to Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
