What is Athletic Training?

Athletic trainers are allied health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize health and activity of patients. Athletic training encompasses injury/illness prevention, clinical evaluation, emergency care, and treatment and rehabilitation of acute and/chronic medical conditions.
