MBA Students at Orientation

MBA Bootcamp

The College of Business has temporarily suspended the MBA foundation courses, beginning Fall 2024.

After the initial orientations, new students will participate in a two-day MBA Bootcamp. The Bootcamp provides an academic background in basic business concepts which the MBA curriculum will build upon and helps participants prepare for the academic rigor of the program. It is required for all students admitted to the program, regardless of prior academic preparation or career experience, and no modules may be waived. The Bootcamp is typically held in-person the weekend prior to the start of classes and covers the following four topics:

  • Statistics
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Economics

The cost of the MBA Bootcamp is a flat fee of $1,300.

MBA Curriculum

All students in the program will complete the two-day Bootcamp prior to beginning the MBA curriculum.

There are five (5) required Core classes for all students, considered to be the backbone of the MBA degree. Core classes may be taken at any time, unless designated as a prerequisite for an elective course.

Elective courses provide students the opportunity to match their interests with their coursework, and are contained within two (2) concentrations: Finance, Entrepreneurship & Global Business, and General Management (no concentration). (The Business Analytics in Healthcare concentration is not currently offered)

Your MBA career concludes with a Culminating Experience, taking the form of either the MBA 501 course in Business & Strategy, or a thesis or project.
