About Air Force ROTC
Welcome to Air Force ROTC Detachment 088!
What is Air Force ROTC?
It is a challenge. It is an opportunity. It is a community. It is a head start on a lifetime of success!
Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) is a premier leadership development program designed to educate, train, and commission the future officer corps of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. Hosted by the Department of Aerospace Studies at CSU Sacramento, Detachment 088 offers three- and four-year academic and practical training programs that integrate seamlessly with your university education.
Through a dynamic curriculum of formal academic classes, rigorous physical fitness training, and hands-on Leadership Laboratories, our cadets don't just learn about leadership; they practice it. Every week, you will engage in strategic problem-solving, collaborative planning, and peer-led exercises designed to build high-caliber military leaders capable of operating in increasingly technical global environments.
