Event Schedule
Check-In
Check-in at the Welcome Center as early as 9am until 1:30pm!
At check in you will recieve: printed event schedule, pen, sticker sheet, hornet bookstore coupon, campus map, and a bag (only while supplies last)!
After check-in, you are free to plan your day and explore our amazing campus however you'd like.
The first 650 students in line for check in will get a $10 meal voucher, courtesy of the Sacramento State's Division of Academic Affairs, to use towards campus eateries and the Servery!
Helpful tips:
- Bring a refillable waterbottle so you can stay hydrated for the event.
- Check the weather in the morning to make sure you are comfortably dressed.
- To explore all our campus has to offer, it would be best to wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Google maps and this event details page will be super helpful, so we recommend bringing a portable charger.
Parking Information
Sacramento State is pleased to offer complimentary parking (no permit required) in “S” student spaces and “E” employee spaces on campus in the parking locations below.
Parking with closest proximity to check-in (<0.5 miles): Parking Structure 5, Lot 1C, Lot 1B, Lot 2A, Lot 11, Parking Structure 1, and Faculty/Staff Lot 2.
Other parking options: Parking Structure 2, Parking Structure 3, Faculty/Staff Lot 7, Student Lot 8, Student Lot 7, Student Lot 9, and Student Lot 10.
Our campus will be buzzing with multiple events so make sure you bring some comfortable walking shoes to get from your parking spot to the check in table!
Please note: No parking in “R” residential spaces. To park in disabled parking spaces on campus, a disabled person placard or license plate must be displayed. In order to park in a clean air or EV space, the Clean Air Vehicle (CAV) decal from California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) must be displayed. See parking regulations for more.

The Servery at the Dining Commons is Sac State’s dining facility located in North Village. It will be open from 9:00am – 8:00pm and is all you can eat.
If you are a recipient of a $10 meal voucher, you can use them at any of the eateries above.
University Welcome Sessions
Get a warm welcome from university leadership while they share what makes our campus a unique and supportive place to learn and earn your degree. This session will conclude with a brief overview of the event to help you make the most out of your day at Sacramento State. You can pick up tickets near the Welcome Center check-in area.
Sessions will be hosted at 10:00am, 10:30am, 11:00am, and 11:30am in the University Union - Redwood Room. Space is limited to 150 seats per session.
Please note: University Welcome Sessions are not required to start your visit. You are free to use the agenda to plan your visit on campus however you would like.
ITE Celebration Station
The station will be located at the Welcome Center from 9am - 2pm.

Tours
General Campus Tours (9am - 2pm)
Get a 30-minute walking tour around our beautiful campus as we highlight different academic programs, resources for students, activities on campus, and all the wonderful things that make Sacramento State Unique.
- Meet us next to Java City Roundhouse in front of Lassen Hall.
North Village Housing Tours (9am - 2pm)
North Village is our on-campus residence halls for first-year and some upperdivision/transfer students.
- Meet at the Riverview Hall at North Village. Spanish speaking tours available.
Hornet Commons Housing Tours (10am - 2pm)
Hornet Commons is our on-campus student apartments only for upper division/transfer students.
- Transportation from campus to Hornet Commons will be provided. Shuttle pick up will be behind the Tschannen Science Complex at the bus stop. Hornet Commons staff members will be available at the bus stop for directioning.
- Meet at the Hornet Commons leasing office.
The WELL Tours (10am - 2pm)
The WELL is our on campus student recreation, health, and wellness facility.

The Path to Nursing & Other Health Professions

Planetarium Shows
Join us for an amazing 360-degree presentation in our state-of-the-art planetarium! The planetarium is hosting 20-minute-long shows located in the Tschannen Science Complex. Show times are: 10:00am, 10:30am, 11:00am, 11:30am,12:00pm, 12:30pm, 1:00pm and 1:30pm. Space is limited to 80 seats per show and are first come, first served.

Combat U Sparring and Grappling Matches

Description: We will have MMA, Boxing, Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu matches in professional MMA cage. Matches will be Combat U students as a demonstration of sport. Music will be played in an open house style event with tabling and Coaches in attendance for questions.

Engineering & Computer Science Exposition
Location: Riverside Hall & Tschannen Science Complex | Time: 10am - 2pm
Description: The exposition is where ECS students to come together and showcase their latest and ongoing innovations for prospective students and other members of the University and the community at large. It will feature presentations and exhibits from ECS students and clubs. Prospective students will get the opportunity to directly interact with some of our current students and learn more about their projects or our programs. Our goal is to boost community enthusiasm and interest in science through immersive hands-on activities, games, and demonstrations.
Fish Lab Tours
Location: Humboldt Hall Room 119 |Time: 10am - 2pm
Description: Visit the Evolutionary Ecology of Fishes Laboratory, where we study the parental care of fishes, i.e., how and why fish parents take care of their kids. Come see 170 tanks of live fishes taking care of their kids.
Hmong Culture Show
Location: University Union - Ballroom | Time: 11am - 4pm
Description: The Hmong Culture Show is hosted by the Hmong University Student Association. It is open to anyone and is free entry. Guests can expect raffles, appetizers, vendors, performances, and a fashion show.
Hornet Racing-Formula SAE
Location: Tschannen Engineering Building #1357 (Previously Santa Clara Hall) | Time: 10am - 2pm
Description: What if your coursework ended with a race car? Hornet Racing is Sacramento State's Formula SAE team, a student-run engineering program that designs, builds, and competes with an open-wheel race car every year. One of the longest-running programs of its kind in the CSU system, Hornet Racing has been putting rubber to road since 1992, and welcomes students of all majors and experience levels to stop by the Garage. Kinesiology in Action: A Tour of Our Labs and Learning Spaces

Description: We will provide a tour of our facilities and labs. We will meet students at our table in the Resource Fair at 12pm and walk over to our facilities.
Natural Sciences & Mathematics Demos & Games
Location: Tschannen Science Complex | Time: 10am - 1pm
Description: We will have tables set up for the Departments of Biological Sciences, Geography, Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics, and Physics & Astronomy where faculty will be available answer questions about the departments and their degree programs. Student clubs from each department will also have tables to show off the social side of the College and answer questions from a student perspective. The NSM Dean’s office, the Center for Science and Math Success and the Math Literacy program will also be available.
The StingerStudio Makerspace
Location: University Library Room 1529 | Time: 10am - 2pm
Description: Make your own swag at StingerStudio Makerspace. Come see the equipment available to you as a Sac State student and leave with your own custom button. While you’re here, you can talk with our staff of talented creators and learn more about making. Encompassing areas such as 3D printing, digital fabrication, textiles, virtual reality, and more the StingerStudio offers comprehensive training, instructional design consultation, and technical support to assist faculty in enriching student learning and engagement.

Description: The University Library houses over 1.2 million books and tons of resources for students. Stop by during Admitted Student Day to learn about everything you have access to when you become a Hornet.
Wileety Native American College Open House
Location: University Library Room 1001 | Time: 10am - 2pm
Description: The Wileety Native American College provides a Tribal Nation/Native Community/Native American Studies based cohort educational experience for all students. The experience is designed to equip students with the necessary academic, professional, tribal government-centered, community-focused, culturally based knowledge and skills to become successful leaders within all of our communities. Description: Stop by the scavenger hunt table to pick up your instructions for exploring the campus. In order to participate you will need to take pictures and upload them to your socials. If you complete the scavenger hunt, you can win a Sacramento State t-shirts, fanny pack, or pair of socks!
Student Mariachi Band

Live Concert from Eric Bellinger & Larry June
Celebrate being a future hornet with a FREE concert with Eric Bellinger and Larry June! Doors open at 12:30pm. Performance open only to prospective and current students. Wristbands will be issued exclusively to prospective students at check-in, and will serve as the entry credential for the Hornet Stadium. Parents and families are encouraged to attend the Guest Reception at the Hornet Pavilion.

Please note: Stadium policy is that you may only have a clear bag. You will most likely need to store away anything you recieved at Admitted Student Day before heading to the concert. The closest parking to the stadium is Student Lot 8, Student Lot 7, Student Lot 9, and Student Lot 10.
Guest Reception
Location: Hornet Pavilion | 1:30–3:30 PM
Join us for a special Guest Reception during Admitted Students Day, where families and supporters are warmly welcomed into the Hornet community.
