Event Schedule
Check-In
Check-in at the Welcome Center from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Here you will get your free bag while supplies last and a raffle ticket to spin our prize wheel! After check-in, you are free to plan your day and explore our amazing campus however you'd like.
The first 650 students in line for check in will get a $15 meal ticket to use towards the food truck, campus eateries, and the Servery!
Helpful Tips
- Bring a refillable waterbottle so you can stay hydrated for the event.
- Check the weather in the morning to make sure you are comfortably dressed.
- To explore all our campus has to offer, it would be best to wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Google maps and this event details page will be super helpful, so we recommend bringing a portable charger.
Parking Information
Sacramento State is pleased to offer complimentary parking (no permit required) in “S” student spaces and “E” employee spaces on campus. Our campus will be buzzing with multiple events so make sure you bring some comfortable walking shoes to get from your parking spot to the check in table!
For closest proximity to our event we suggest Parking Structure 5 or Parking Structure 1.
Please note: No parking in “R” residential spaces. To park in disabled parking spaces on campus, a disabled person placard or license plate must be displayed. In order to park in a clean air or EV space, the Clean Air Vehicle (CAV) decal from California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) must be displayed. See parking regulations for more.
ITE Celebration Station
The station will be located at the Welcome Center from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Submit your intent to enroll and receive a personalized I Said Yes to Sac State certificate! Take a solo and/or family photo in front of our Sac State backdrop! Tag us on Instagram (@sacstateadmissions) to be featured on our social media.
Tours
General Campus Tours
Campus tours will be available every 5-10 minutes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. close to Java City! The last campus tour leaves at 1:30 p.m.
Campus Housing Tours
- Hornet Commons: Meet at the Hornet Commons leasing office.
- North Village: Meet at the Riverview Hall at North Village.
- Housing tours will run continuously from 10 a.m - 4 p.m. Housing tours will extend past event time.
The WELL Tours
Please meet at The WELL. Visit The WELL to see what gym equipment, health classes, health care, and more are inside the building!
The WELL tours will run continuously from 10 a.m - 2 p.m.
Planetarium Shows
Join us for an amazing 360-degree presentation in our state-of-the-art planetarium! The planetarium is hosting 20-minute-long shows located in Ernest E. Tschannen Science Complex. Show times are: 10:00am, 10:30am, 12:10pm, 12:40pm, 1:10pm, and 1:40pm. Space is limited to 80 seats and first come, first serve.

During each session we'll cover updates on admissions and information on financial aid. It is everything you want and need to know about Sacramento State in order to make a smooth transition before classes begin in August.

We will have Local Kine Shave Ice food truck available from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
The Servery at the Dining Commons is Sac State’s dining facility located in North Village. It will be open from 9:00am – 8:00pm and is all you can eat.
The Hornet Bookstore
The Hornet Bookstore will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.. The Hornet Bookstore will have 20% off one apparel or gift item*!

Description: Admitted Students can play in the games room for FREE! The games room offers 11 billiards tables, 9 screens for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch gaming, table tennis, and foosball.

Description: Every student that checks in will recieve a raffle ticket that they can use to redeem a prize from our Raffle Table! We will also have Corn Hole, Basketball Pong, Big Jenga, Jumbo Connect 4, and the Our Hive Our Home Banner. This is a great way to meet other students and/or have a fun moment with your family.
Relaxation Station hosted by ASD
