Micah Wofford | 2018 | I am currently working full-time at the California Energy Commission in the Fuels and Transportation Division (FTD). In the FTD, we are working to realize California's greenhouse gas emission reduction goals by focusing on electrifying the transportation sector and setting up the necessary infrastructure for electrification and alternative fuel vehicles (such as hydrogen, CNG, biofuels, etc.) | |
Carlos Pereyra (Carlos Pereyra website) |
2017 | Sac State, BS in Mechanical Engineering | Currently I am a first year Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace (MAE) Doctoral Student at the University of California, Davis. After acquiring dual degrees in physics and mechanical engineering with an emphasis in scientific instrumentation and computational modeling from Sacramento State, I interned at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). Interning with BNL's high energy physics and instrumentation division provided valuable exposure to fundamental research at a government laboratory. Long before interning at BNL I was a summer undergraduate research experience (SURE) award recipient studying under Dr. Jerome Buerki. My current work as a member of the Bioinstrumentation and BioMEMS laboratory in Davis, benefits from both experiences at Sacramento State and BNL. |
Maria Ramos | 2017 | Sac State, BA in Mathematics | Currently working as a Foundation and Breeding Nursery Analyst for Driscoll's where I audit our nursery's inventory quantities, program fulfillment for all our berries, and creating reports about my team and the nursery's overall performance. |

Joshua Frye | 2013 | University of Oregon, MSc Physics | I am currently working for Pipeworks Studio in Eugene, OR as a video game software engineer. I am on a team that is porting Terraria to console and mobile platforms. It turns out that even in 2D games, physics is used quite a lot! It has been immensely helpful knowing vector math, geometry, and kinematics. I am still learning the basics of game development, but my long term goal is to become an expert in video game physics simulation. |
