About Family Studies & Human Development
The Family Studies & Human Development (FSHD) program at Sac State has experienced a growth rate of 150% over the past five years.
The major prepares students for careers in various human service fields. The program emphasizes an asset-based approach to understanding lifespan human development, family systems, and family diversity in a cultural context.
The major is approved by the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) for academic programs in Family Life Education.
