The BS in Fashion Merchandising & Management prepares students for careers in the global fashion industry, including management, marketing, buying, advertisement, promotion, manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, and retailing.
The program emphasizes contemporary and historical ways of meeting the economic, physiological, aesthetic, psychological, and social needs of consumers relative to fashion and textile products.

The Costume Collection is an integral component of the Fashion Merchandising and Management program. It contains hundreds of items donated by local community members and businesses, dating from the mid-nineteenth century to the present day. The Costume Collection also provides collaborative opportunities that benefit the greater Sacramento community
