About Fashion Merchandising & Management
The BS in Fashion Merchandising & Management prepares students for careers in the global fashion industry, including management, marketing, buying, advertising, promotion, manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, and retailing.
Our strongest feature is our commitment to building a more humane and sustainable fashion system. Rooted in sustainability, our program is strengthened by a close connection with Fibershed and by our location in Sacramento, California, where students are uniquely positioned near the center of policy and systems change. We prepare students to think beyond the product and engage with the environmental, social, and civic dimensions of fashion.
Current student, Ella Lacap, once said: “Thank you so much for bringing humanity back to the fashion system.” The faculty tries to uphold her view and challenge our students to make positive change every day.
