US Education Undersecretary James Kvaal called Sacramento State a model for other institutions as they work to improve graduation rates and equity gaps.
CA Education Secretary Miguel A. Cardona stated Sacramento State is exemplifying “a new vision of college excellence,” one that focuses on “inclusivity and equity rather than exclusivity and privilege.”
"More students than ever indicate they want to graduate on time and believe they can with the tools and resources Sacramento State provides," said Dr. James Dragna, Executive Director of Student Success Initiatives at Sacramento State.
“Everyone deserves the chance [to do so]," said former Sac State President Robert Nelsen. Our approach at Sac State is to 'knock down administrative and financial barriers' to pave the way to a timely graduation."
