EEE 174: Introduction to Microprocessors

Course Information

Course Description

This course introduces the fundamentals of microprocessor-based systems, including architecture, machine and assembly language programming, memory organization, and input/output interfacing. Students will learn key concepts such as timing operations, addressing modes, bus arbitration, and exception handling.

Laboratory Component

The laboratory provides hands-on experience using development and target systems. Students will design, assemble, test, and debug programs while working with microprocessor-based hardware in the laboratory.
