hotspot-collage-1.pngTo help the Hornet Family stay connected for off-campus teaching, learning, and business needs, we are offering a limited time, first-come, first-served request process to check out a cellular hotspot device, which also includes service managed through CARES/HEERF funding.

Funding ends in January 2022, but until then, employees and students can participate within the following timelines:

  • Hotspots are available for loan/continued checkout through Feb 7, 2022
  • To request a hotspot, please send an email from your Sac State account to servicedesk@csus.edu and include: first/last name, email address, and phone number.
  • Device service will be disconnected Feb 12, 2022, and devices must be returned to the IRT Service Desk before March 3, 2022.

Students

  • Hotspots are available for loan/continued checkout through May 27, 2022.
  • To request a hotspot, please ask a faculty or staff member to send a request on your behalf to servicedesk@csus.edu and have them include: student first/last name and email address.
  • The Hotspot program is scheduled to end May 31, 2022, and devices must be returned to the IRT Service Desk before June 15, 2022.

Note: After February 11, some checked out devices will need to be exchanged for updated devices to maintain service. We will contact you if your device is part of this update.
